Lawn Care Program
Organic Fertilizer & Weed Control
Our state-licensed applicators aim to use as few chemicals as possible and follow the product’s labeling to achieve effective results. Our goal is to work in harmony with nature. Organic fertilizers have little to no negative downstream effect on people, pets, or wildlife, which makes them a better choice over synthetic fertilizers. In spring 2016, we found a reasonably priced alternative to traditional synthetic fertilizers, which performed equally as well as the traditional synthetic fertilizers and expensive organics that have to be applied more frequently and in abundance. We tried applications of corn gluten, milorganite, and soy/beet-derived fertilizers, but it didn’t make economic sense. We had to apply twice as much product twice as frequently. Visiting our customers’ lawns twice as often requires twice the fuel and generates twice the exhaust emissions. Therefore, we consciously and continuously strive to be stewards of the environment, protect our waterways, and serve our customers even better.

Round 1 (Spring)
This treatment consists of a slow-release granular fertilizer and broadleaf herbicide. It provides greening up by replenishing nutrients and helping build a strong root system. Pre-emergent stops tough annual weeds like Crabgrass and broadleaf weeds before they germinate.
Round 2 (Summer)
This treatment includes a slow-release balanced organic granular fertilizer and sprayed herbicide to support healthy lawn growth. It controls broadleaf and grassy weeds, which are very active and vulnerable. It also promotes deep root growth to maintain a lush and healthy lawn. This round includes spot spraying where and as needed.
Round 3 (Late Summer)
This treatment consists of a slow-release balanced organic granular fertilizer. This helps the lawn withstand the hot and dry conditions typical in summer. Regular watering and fertilizing will strengthen the root system of grasses, allowing them to grow deeper and helping the lawn survive drought.
Round 4 (Early Fall)
The treatment consists of a slow-release balanced organic granular fertilizer and a sprayed herbicide. It helps dormant lawns recover quickly from summer heat and controls persistent broadleaf and grassy weeds, as they are most vulnerable at this time of year. This round includes spot spraying where and as needed.
Round 5 (Late Fall)
This treatment consists of a slow-release granular winterizing fertilizer. It provides nutrients through winter and early spring. After winter dormancy, the lawn will flourish in the spring.
Weed Control
During the second and fourth rounds of fertilization, we will carry out spot spray weed control. This involves using a liquid spray of premium specialty herbicide with optimal droplet size. We will apply it with an organic spreader sticker, which enables the product to adhere and perform for a longer duration. This method effectively eliminates weeds without damaging the desired grasses. It targets tough-to-kill broadleaf and grassy weeds such as Creeping Charlie, Chickweed, Dandelions, Clover, Crabgrass, Goosegrass, Foxtail, and Quackgrass.
Stay Off Lawn for 24 Hours
After a liquid spray application is applied you can walk on your lawn in as little as one hour once the application is dry. However, we recommend people and pets avoid activities or play on the lawn for the first 24 hours. Our technique uses localized spraying of a fine mist. It only takes a few molecules of the chemical products we use to control a weed, not the commonly used heavy blanket spray. Once the fine spray that is applied dries, you can return to the lawn.
